Way to go, Boychuk!

Posted by Terry Van Veen  |  POST A COMMENT

For dozens of Alberta kids fighting brave battles, it was a once-in-a-lifetime treat – an N-H-L champion gave them a good look at one of the most famous trophies in the world.  Johnny Boychuk, a defenceman with the Boston Bruins, had 12 hours with Stanley Cup Friday, and spent a good portion of his time with it at the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton.  The hockey player, who was born and raised in Edmonton, met with several parents and patients, handing out cards and signing autographs.  For kids who were too sick to get out of bed, Boychuk brought the cup to them. Boychuk says he was more than happy to share his moment of glory.
