Cabinet Man to the Rescue!

Federal Industry Minister Tony Clement and family members sprang into action Saturday to save a woman in an Ontario river. Clement says a hysterical young woman banged on his door in Port Sydney Saturday night saying her friend was drowning. Clement says he dove into the water fully clothed, but had to give up because of a strong undertow. The woman was intercepted downstream by Clement's wife and father-in-law. Then they all helped keep the woman and another exhausted swimmer warm until paramedics arrived.
