Take Part in the EcoAction Challenge

Challenge accepted! The City of Airdrie has issued a challenge to all Alberta communities – commit to one small daily change to make a big change in the environment! City Council is on board. Now, it’s residents’ turn to join in!

“We’re asking for one simple act,” says Ald. Dan Wong, Environment Committee Chair. “This can be anything from turning down your fridge, switching to a cold water wash for your laundry, bringing a bag with you when shopping, composting, or reducing your shower time by five minutes. It’s easy to make any one of those changes.”

Residents who commit to one of those or other adjustments are encouraged to visit the City’s website, cityofgp.com, and follow the links to the Community EcoAction Challenge. They will be asked to sign up to use EcoAction’s calculator. Participants are prompted to click on “join a team”. That will be their cue to choose City of Grande Prairie – EcoAction Challenge.
