8 Year Old Inspires Fundraiser

Shae is an 8 year old boy who expressed an interest in raising money to donate to a cause. After talking with his mom and dad about the various causes he could donate to, he decided to raise money for The Canadian Cancer Society. Shae has several family members that have had/or do have cancer, who have passed away from various forms of cancer and some who are in remission.

Shae’s fundraiser has generated interest from local business’ that want to help make his fundraiser a success. In the Zone Party Rentals will be supplying a moon bounce for the day, Little Lucy’s Clown Caboose will be supplying a cotton candy machine and Parkland Industries will be supplying the BBQ.

Donations can also be made online at www.cancer.ca/reachforacure, for those who cannot make it to the BBQ. Shae’s goal is to raise $500 and to help find a cure so that his and other families may one day live in a cancer free world.

The event takes place this Sunday (May 30) between 11am and 5pm at Lion's Park (across from Swanavon School) in Grande Prairie.
