RCMP now at the Multiplex

The Grande Prairie RCMP is proud to announce the opening of their Multiplex Detachment on Friday December 9th. The satellite detachment will offer the opportunity for residents to access limited services on the south side of the City.
Below is a "Frequently Asked Question" guide to RCMP service at the multiplex.
Q. What services will be offered at the Multiplex Detachment?
A. Services at the Multiplex include: parking ticket payments, animal & business licenses, police information checks, criminal record checks, reporting of motor vehicle collisions, reporting of less critical incidents where consultation with an RCMP officer may not be necessary (including but not limited to theft from motor vehicle, mischief under $5000, etc.).
Q. What services will not be offered at the Multiplex Detachment?
A. Fingerprinting, reporting of critical incidents (major assaults, etc.), any license that requires an identification card (chauffeurs, escorts, dancers, peddlers), service of subpoenas, A-board permits, pick up of 24 hour suspensions. Additionally cat traps and found property/bicycles can only be claimed at the downtown detachment.
Q. What are the hours of service?
A. Hours of service at the Multiplex Detachment are: Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Downtown Detachment hours are: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Q. How will the Multiplex Detachment be staffed?
A. The staff at the Multiplex Detachment are Municipal Employees who are trained in Front Counter Services. The same exemplary customer service at our downtown location will be provided at the multiplex. The services of an RCMP member will be made available on a call by call basis from the shift working that day.
Q. Is there a phone number for the Multiplex Detachment?
A. The Multiplex Detachment will have the same phone number as the Downtown Detachment, 780-830-5701. The switchboard will direct calls appropriately.
Q. Where is the detachment located in the Multiplex?
A. Through the west entrance, it is immediately on the right. If entering through the main entrance at the south side of the building, there are directional arrows to guide you.
