Storm & Oilers IceBreaker Event

The excitement for the upcoming AJHL hockey season starts this Saturday (Aug 28) with the Storm Season Icebreaker, happening from Noon to 4 o’clock in Crystal Centre’s Front Parking Lot & Lobby. A full afternoon of family activities is planned, and will include participation by the Edmonton Oilers Event Team.

The Oilers Event Team will be bringing a 53-foot big-rig packed full of promotional materials, merchandise, a complete road-hockey setup, and even the “Fanboni”, a zamboni converted to provide rides and photo opportunities for eager Oiler fans.

Not to be outdone by the pros, Storm Business Manager Don Moon says Saturday’s event will be the first opportunity for many to get details on the exciting new programs offered by the Storm for this 15th Anniversary season – like the Canadian Tire Storm Kids Club, the Storm Booster Club, even incentive packages and giveaways for season ticket purchasers.

The anniversary season kicks off with a Home Opener Friday, September 10th. This Saturday’s event is free to the public and runs Noon to 4 at the Crystal Centre.
