The Sky is Falling...Tomorrow

Posted by Terry Van Veen  |  POST A COMMENT

Tomorrow (Fri) remains the most likely day that an old NASA research satellite will come crashing down through the atmosphere.   An estimated 26 pieces, representing 545 kilograms (1,200 pounds), are expected to survive.   One group of experts believes the re-entry will happen over the Pacific.  The 20-year-old dead research satellite will be the biggest NASA spacecraft to fall uncontrolled from the sky in 32 years.
