To gear up for the Olympics and show support and excitement for the athletes, Grande Prairieans will attempt to make history with the "Vot-ive of Confidence Light the Flame" event, in support of the Canadian Luge Association on Saturday, February 6th, 2010, @ 5:00 pm at the Coca Cola Centre.

Organizers are looking to set a Guinness World Record for "the greatest number of people lighting a candle simultaneously, held simultaneously at different venues" across Canada.

Arrive early and bring a votive (in a holder (or a tealight)) and a lighter so we can be ready to light all candles at exactly 5:00 pm. Doors will open at 4:00 pm at the Coca-Cola Centre, Stanford Room.
