Every spring, Canadian Cancer Society volunteers’ organize various events around the community to help Kick Off the Relay For Life to help draw attention and support to the days and weeks leading up to the Relay.
They are teaming up with Freson IGA and Scotiabank to Kick Off the Luminary Sales. Remember loved ones and their battle against cancer or honour loved ones touched by the disease by purchasing your Luminaries for $5.00 and help “Light Up The Night” at the Relay For Life.
Volunteers will be at both the Northside and Southview I.G.A. locations this Saturday May 1st celebrating the First on the First in store sales by hosting a BBQ and Luminary sales from 11:00a.m-6:00p.m. Join them for a burger and buy your Luminaries at the same time!
